Mind and Matter

The power of our mind is beyond doubt. If the mind can alter the physical body, it can certainly alter the way we perceive ourselves. You are what you think you are. Your attitude is the reflection of the thoughts you hold deep within your mind; your thoughts influences your attitude. An unhappy person with negative thoughts cannot stand in front of a mirror expecting to see a happy face. Our thoughts are true reflection of ourselves. Apparently, how we perceive others reflects our true character.

Recreate yourself by forging a new identity through the power of a renewed mind. We are defined by what we repeatedly do. Our actions are reflection of our thoughts; we end up doing that which we think about. Thoughts are prior to actions; before the second creation (physical creation), there is a preceding first creation (mental creation) which largely influences what the second creation is likely to be.

Apparently, there is nothing that cannot happen today, when you exercise the power of your mind. Don’t just wait to see what kind of day you will have. You have to decide what kind of day you want to have. Do a first mental creation which will determine your physical creation. Most times, all you need to do to get out of a difficult situation is to exercise the power of your mind. Take that first step even though you can’t see the whole stairs. You can’t play it safe and expect to reach your highest potential.

The Power of The Mind.

The power of the mind is indisputable. There is no limit to what the power of the mind can accomplish. When we put the power of our mind into action, we get maximum results. The mind is like a wild dog wandering endlessly without direction; it needs to be tamed and directed according to your will. This is where self-discipline comes in. Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments. Self-discipline is the iron quality of character. It is the foundation stone of integrity and courage. Your level of self-discipline has a major impact on what you will accomplish in every area of your endeavor. It is the price you pay to get the desired outcome; quid pro quo.

The Mind Influences Your Attitude.

The mind influences your attitude. This is why most people make emotionally based decisions; decisions based on feelings and emotions. Never make permanent decisions on temporary feelings. Relax your mind and soul. Learn to let go of what’s gone, be grateful for what remains and look forward to what is to come next. Learn to appreciate the gift of the present. Nothing is worth it if you aren’t happy. Learn to understand that happiness is a state of mind. It is a moment in time; it fleets. But most often, people try to lock it down as a persistent state. This act does more harm than good, leading to depression and persistent misery. Happiness cannot be pursued, it must ensue. You can only be as happy as you make up your mind to be. When one’s mind is made up, fear diminishes.

Learn to practice equanimity. Keep your composure despite opposing circumstances. Do not worsen anyone’s condition with your uncontrolled emotion; make a good impact regardless of how you feel. When you throw negative energy at someone, you are throwing negative energy out into the universe for yourself; you get what you give.

How we perceive our self is very important.

Bad news: you cannot make people like, love, understand, validate, accept or be nice to you. You can’t control them either.

Good news: it doesn’t matter.
